Once again Project Dewatering Limited have provided a cost-effective rapid response to a client’s need to manage groundwater. A dewatering system was needed to reduce the natural groundwater levels, thus allowing the installation of foul water drainage and an associated pumping station, on this residential development in the East of England. The detailed design provided by Project Dewatering Ltd comprised 450 well points located on either side of the drainage run with the header pipe elevated to keep the work area as free as possible for the client. The well-points were installed by conventional Jetting methods to the top of the underlying impermeable clay formation. Abstracted water was discharged into a V notch tank, allowing visual inspection and sampling of the water prior to discharge of waters to soakaway.
