PDL brings drilling rig to UK

Project Dewatering (PDL) are now the proud owners of a FRASTE FS 300 drilling rig, having acquired the rig from our Dutch sister company Tjaden.

With a 10m mast, integral pumps and compressors and a 16-tonne pulling capacity, the rig is capable of drilling to depths of over 200m using both direct and reverse circulation methods, while still being extremely compact and manoeuvrable.

The ability to provide reverse circulation drilling allows PDL to provide a better well than our competitors, using direct flush methods. Additionally, the presence of the required pumps on the rig greatly simplifies the operation with less ancillary equipment required. This results in a smaller drilling footprint and a reduced cost, all of which is great news for our customers.
